Join award-winning writer, artist, teacher and singer-songwriter Luke Beesley for this inspiring and sensory three-part course on finding creativity in your surroundings.

When we situate ourselves in the landscape, it can heighten awareness and generate creative inspiration and rejuvenation. This course—which includes sensory walking activities—focuses on observation and rhythm, writerly self-awareness and using other art forms to enrich our creativity. Delve into carefully selected writing exercises and visual prompts, followed by practical and comprehensive tips on editing and structuring your writing fragments. You will finish the course with a draft piece of surprising and creative fiction, poetry or creative non-fiction.

You'll learn:

Luke Beesley

Luke Beesley is a writer, artist, singer-songwriter and creative writing teacher. His most recent collection of poetry, In the Photograph (Giramondo), is shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. His poetry has been published widely in Australia and internationally and has been translated into several languages. Luke’s singer-songwriter moniker is Cornflake Sunset, and his debut album ‘Double Portrait’ will be released in October. He lives and works on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land (Naarm/Melbourne).
